Children and Youth

“Behold, children are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is His reward.” Psalm 127:3

CA is a kid-oriented church. The Bible gives a clear mandate to every parent to raise their children in the “fear and admonition (correction) of the Lord.” We believe every parent is blessed by God to be able to teach and train their children. No church can or should take over this responsibility. However, it is our joy to assist parents by teaching and mentoring the children in our fellowship during church meetings and at other gatherings.

Nursery

On Sunday mornings we have a beautifully appointed nursery staffed by a paid worker and assisted by members of our congregation. Each congregational assistant must be a member of the church for at least one year. New members (and any paid staff) must submit to a background and criminal records check, be trained for service, and partnered with veterans to ensure the best in child care.

There is also a private room for nursing mothers just off the sanctuary with comfortable furniture and one-way glass to enable mothers and their infants to nurse in privacy while remaining a part of the service.

Children’s Ministry

vbs08-033
Kingdom Quest meets during the 11:00 AM service.

Sunday morning at 11:00 AM there is a general meeting for children ages 3-12. Using live music, video, drama, puppets, and other media, the lesson for the day is introduced in a way that grabs the children’s attention. Then age-appropriate classes are held where interactive learning continues using biblically solid materials. Our curriculum offers a dynamic, interactive study course that gives our children a thorough knowledge of the Bible. All children are welcome to this time of fun, practical instruction that is just for kids!

Teens

Cross Roads gathers teens in a casual setting to worship and hang out together. At each meeting, led by Brett & Kelly Spiers, they explore the application of Scripture and Christian morality as a way to live out their faith and meet the challenges of being a Christian with a global worldview. Prayer is an important part of every meeting and the message is lived out in various outreaches to our community. All teens ages 12-18 are encouraged to attend.

All of these ministries are designed to help parents develop confident Christian children and youth that are equipped to be world-changers!
