CA Kids Quarantine Statement

We, as a Children’s Ministry, intend for you to utilize this extra time at home with family for His name and glory. How does this look? Perhaps it looks like memorizing scripture together.  Perhaps it means acting out Bible stories as a means of family devotional. Whatever it looks like, our discernment of God’s will during this tumultuous time points us right in the direction of family discipleship.

Our priority is assisting you to build a strong Christian foundation in your children. Sunday morning is our opportunity to build on what your children are learning at home. During the quarantine, we would like to  provide materials, tools, and guidance for you and your little worshippers to continue in the Sunday school mission.

The family has always been a child’s first place of worship. For now, it is the only place. And we will strive to make it a beautiful one.

Here is what the next few months will look like for Children’s Ministry:

  • Each week, if you choose to attend worship service in our building, a kids pack will be available for grab-n-go service.  We have created small packs for our preschoolers and kindergarteners and larger packs for our 1st -5th graders.
  • We are working on recording weekly Sunday School lessons that we will email out along with family teaching materials.  These will not be what we were studying in Sunday School.  We will pick up where we left off with those lessons once we begin having Sunday School again. These special quarantine materials will be sent out in PDF form, and printed copies will likely be available for you in the office to pick up by each Tuesday afternoon (we will update you on all the details of this plan as they are developed)
  • If you’d like to be added to our parent email list to receive all the updates, let us know at
  • Here is a list of Online Family Worship Materials with lots of clickable resources for your family. If you have any recommendations to add, please send them our way.

Please email our Director of Children’s Ministry, Jamil Johnson, at if you have any questions.

Parents of nursery aged children may email our Nursery Director, Easley Schack, at with questions as well.
