Blacktop Games sponsored on Saturday by Christian Assembly, Comunidades de Formacion Cristiana, United for Christ Church, Child Evangelism Fellowship, and Braggtown Baptist was a great success! Approximately 500 people participated in the event including celebrity guests Phil Ford of UNC and Chris Carawell of Duke, members of Durham Fire, EMS, & Police, and our own Rev. Kevin Ross, aka Irvin D. Clown, of Ross Family Ministries. It was an amazing representation of Jesus’ Church in Durham and everyone did a great job of loving our neighbor!

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
Several years ago singer Joan Osborne asked the musical question, “What if God was one of us?” What if God already answered that question in person? What if Jesus was both God and human as the Bible says? It’s a big idea and one that deserves our attention. If it is true then we might need to rethink our ideas about God, nature, human existence, life, death, good, evil, body, soul, spirit, and what else might be out there beyond our experience. As the world considers the birth of a very special baby at Christmas, we’re going to consider what the incarnation meant to mankind then, and especially to us today. Come and join us for the conclusion of this series this Sunday at 9 & 11 AM.
*Special Notice* This Sunday – One Service Only – 11:00 AM Celebration in honor of paying off the mortgage! No Children’s Ministry this week only. Nursery is provided. Dress is always casual. Come celebrate and give thanks!
CA will join with millions of other believers from every nation on the earth this Pentecost Sunday to pray for a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our day. If ever there was a time in history when the church and the world needed revival, reformation, and transformation by the power of God, this is it. Please come and join us this Sunday as we join our prayers with those of the entire Body of Christ in Heaven and Earth for the glory of the Lord to be revealed with power.
Worship services are at 9:00 & 11:00 AM. Nursery is provided at both services and Children’s Ministry is at 11:00. Dress is always casual. Come Lord Jesus!
The tragic situation in Haiti requires our compassionate response. The best way to help right now is to send funds. Would you like to donate money for the relief work in Haiti but don’t know where your money will be used responsibly? CA is partnering with Humanitarian International Services Group. HISG is led by a friend that we trust. Last Sunday we collected $1650, matched that from the general fund, rounded up a little and sent $3500. Another donor matched that and our congregation’s initial offering of $1650 became a total of $7000 for water purification systems, tents, food, and medical supplies. Thank You God and thanks CA members! Want to join us? Go to HISG and donate or help the charity of your choice. Wherever you decide to send your donation, please give and pray now. The need is great.
