Sunday is Mother’s Day, but we hope you knew that already. While we realize that Mother’s Day is a rather new “holiday” the sentiment is sound; mothers deserve our thanks and honor. The Bible says that we are to honor our mother so that we may live a long life and things will go well for us. Besides, she put up with us for all of these years. She needs some thanks and a day off. Make your mom happy and come to church!
Sunday is also the Global Day of Prayer when millions of Christians from all around the world will be praying in repentance and asking God to move in even greater ways than we have ever seen before. The world needs that. Maybe you do too. Would you like to experience the presence and power of God like never before in your life? Then join us on Sunday as we pray and hear reports of what He is already doing for people just like you. You’ll be glad you did.
Services are at 9:00 & 11:00AM. Nursery is provided during the message and prayer. Our children’s ministry, Kingdom Quest, meets at 11:00 for kids ages 3-12. Dress is casual. See you on Mother’s Day. Don’t forget.
Have you ever made a major decision that you knew had broad implications for your life and then wondered if you had done the right thing? It may have involved a car or house purchase, a job change, deciding which college you were going to attend, or whether to use your credit card to charge something online. You think about it, consider the options, and take the plunge, hoping and praying that everything will work out the way you wanted. Then come the doubts, the what if’s that make you wonder if it was really the right move after all. We call those second thoughts.
Major life defining decisions often require a leap of faith. Our relationship with God works that way too. Everyone who has faith in God has doubts; those what-if, second thought moments. Left unaddressed those moments can turn into days, months, and even years. If you find yourself having second thoughts, you are not alone. This Sunday we’re going to take a look at a guy named Peter, one of Jesus’ closest friends, and a moment when he struggled with faith and belief. Just like Peter, sometimes we need Jesus to reach out and touch us so that we will know He is real. We’re expecting Him to do that this Sunday. Come and see for yourself.
Our services are at 9:00 & 11:00 AM with nursery during the message at both services. Kingdom Quest, our children’s ministry for ages 3-12, starts at 11:00. Dress is casual. Come and let God speak to your second thoughts.
