Counting Our Blessings

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and that Black Friday wasn’t too terrible for you. Even though Thanksgiving is over, it is never too late to count our blessings. Most of us take so much for granted. There are so many things like life, health, food, shelter, family, job, and material wealth that we never even think about. Even a simple thing like rain seems insignificant until you don’t have it for a long period of time. When you stop to think about it, many of these things are beyond our ability to produce or even control. At CA, we realize that God is the One that provides for all of our needs, even when we don’t ask Him or even thank Him for what He has done.

Have you stopped to thank God lately and ask Him for what you need? This might be a good time to do that. Just take a minute right now to bow your head and talk to God. He’s listening and He loves to hear from you. Go ahead, we’ll wait…

This Sunday we hope to see you at either the 9:00 or 11:00 AM services. Nursery is provided for children under age 3 during the message at both services and Kingdom Quest, our excellent children’s ministry, meets during the 11:00 service for kids ages 3-12. Shake off the turkey hangover and come join us!

Happy Thanksgiving

Do you remember to say a prayer of thanks over your meals? That’s the idea behind Thanksgiving. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and that however you choose to express your gratitude to God, you experience His joy and love.

Every Sunday our services are about giving thanks to God for His many blessings. Please come and join us at either 9:00 or 11:00am. The nursery is available at both services during the message and our children’s ministry begins at 11:00 for kids ages 3-12.

God has a very large family. You are welcome!

IDOP

idopsm.JPG

Did you know that this year over 150,000 people around the world will die because they refuse to deny their belief in Jesus Christ? An additional 200 million people will suffer some form of punishment for being a Christian. Sadly, 60% of these are children. This Sunday is the International Day of Prayer for the persecuted church (IDOP). Come be with us at CA as we join with our brothers and sisters in over 100,000 churches in more than 130 countries around the world to pray for those who are imprisoned, beaten, tortured, or killed simply because they are Christians. Turns out, church is important after all. Please come and pray.

Praise & Worship, Wednesday Night

worshipsm.JPG
This Wednesday night at 7:00 PM CA will have a special evening of praise and worship. That’s right, no preaching; only time spent together with God and each other in worship. Childcare will not be provided and kids are encouraged to participate. It is going to be a great evening and God will definitely show up. Will you? All are welcome.

This Sunday – Power!

desert-cavesm.JPG

This Sunday we’ll be hearing more about the Holy Spirit and His amazing power. If you come to either the 9:00 or 11:00 AM service you’ll also be able to see the inspiring drama, “Ragman,” that was presented at the Holy Ghost Weenie Roast on Halloween. If you’ve ever wondered if the spirit world is real and if God really has supernatural power, you’ll want to come and hear more. We promise you will encounter God this Sunday morning at these services. Don’t miss it!

Love and Respect Marriage Conference

love-respect.pngDr. Emerson and Sarah Eggerichs
Excited and burdened about male and female communication, Emerson launched the Love and Respect Conferences in August 1999 to serve husbands and wives. Sarah and Emerson are convinced that a truth hidden in plain sight for 2000 years can make a difference in every marriage. This truth is found in Ephesians 5:33. Husbands must love their wives and wives must respect their husbands.

This DVD conference was taped earlier this year and will be presented at Christian Assembly this weekend – Friday, November 3, 7-9 PM and Saturday, November 4, 9AM-4PM. The cost is $15 per couple which will cover your lunch and conference workbook. Registration begins September 30. Contact Wayne or Saundra Littleton for more information.
